On Thursday, Union County had to suffer through a rough 67-40 loss at the hands of Seneca. While losing is never fun, Union County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Seneca is ranked 52nd).
Despite the defeat, Union County had strong showings from Nathan Koepke, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, and Seven Eison, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Seneca got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jermaine Miller out in front who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cam O'kelley, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Union County's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Seneca, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
