The Minneola Wildcats lost against the Ingalls Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Minneola lost to Ingalls at home by a decisive 54-40 margin. While losing is never fun, Minneola can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Ingalls is ranked 89th).
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braegen Shelor, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maiya Shelor, who scored ten points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Minneola and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Ingalls, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minneola will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Satanta on January 30th. Satanta comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Ingalls will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bucklin at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Bucklin will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
