Galena Park's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Sharpstown 15-0. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Fabian Cantu was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Galena Park let Joshua Banda and Hector Arrieta run wild. Banda went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Arrieta went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Banda also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season. Xavier Aldana was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Carnegie Vanguard's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Galena Park, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
