The First Baptist School Hurricanes pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 75-64 to Trinity Collegiate. First Baptist School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Collegiate apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Trinity Collegiate got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jae Thomas out in front who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Wilson, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for First Baptist School and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Trinity Collegiate, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
First Baptist School will be playing at home against Porter-Gaud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Porter-Gaud is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Trinity Collegiate, they will challenge Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
