The Purchase Line Red Dragons will face off against the Penns Manor Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Purchase Line's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Penns Manor has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
If Purchase Line beats Penns Manor with ten runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Red Dragons came out on top against Marion Center by a score of 10-7 on Thursday.
Devlan Kordish made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Purchase Line: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 3-9 otherwise. Kordish was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Stein, who earned four RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Moyer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Penns Manor came up short against River Valley on Friday, falling 10-3.
Connor James was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season.
Purchase Line has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Penns Manor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Purchase Line was able to grind out a solid win over Penns Manor in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. Will the Red Dragons repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
