Football Recap: Hurricane Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hurricane extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came out on top against the Murray Spartans by a score of 43-34. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Having lost for the first time this season, Murray fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Loss or not, Murray got some senior leadership from Phil Holland and Carson Davis. Holland threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75.8% of his passes, while Davis picked up 121 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hurricane will venture away from home to square off against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Murray, they will head out to face off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Beetdiggers at the right time seeing as the Beetdiggers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
