It was a good run, but the Simi Valley Pioneers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 52-44 to Oak Park. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Simi Valley has scored all season.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Rener, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Hoffer, who scored 11 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Simi Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Oak Park, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
Simi Valley will take on Moorpark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Park won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Windward at 6:30 p.m. on January 20th. Windward has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 922 points over their last 13 games.
