It was a good run, but Beech unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 61-44 fall against the Father Ryan Irish. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Irish are ranked 25th).

Beech's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Father Ryan, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

When Beech and Father Ryan next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Beech will try to stop New Faith Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Similarly, Father Ryan will take on Montgomery Bell Academy and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
