Despite their loss, Windsor Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gavin Snow, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Snow is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Lamar, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Windsor Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Brentwood's undefeated season came to an end after 15 games on Friday. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the War Eagles came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Crusaders are ranked 547th).
Despite the defeat, Brentwood saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tristan Robinson posted 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Baylor Cobb, who earned ten points.
Windsor Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Brentwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Windsor Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58.5 points per game. However, it's not like Brentwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 63.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Windsor Academy came up short against Brentwood when the teams last played last Tuesday, falling 52-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Robinson, who scored 25 points. Now that Windsor Academy knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
