Sherman took a serious blow against McKinney North, falling 70-23. While losing is never fun, Sherman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 885th, while McKinney North is ranked 43rd).
Ryhan Balous went supernova for McKinney North, going 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 1 assists. Balous has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ciara Harris was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for McKinney North, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Sherman will be home for the holidays to greet Lovejoy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinney North, they will head out on the road to face off against Denison at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
