The Grace Christian Crusaders can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 74-69 W over North Raleigh Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grace Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ma'Kyi Butler, who scored 24 points. Butler is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Jimmy Zimmerman was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
When it comes to explaining why North Raleigh Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brennen Jefferson. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Dickerson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Grace Christian now has a winning record of 12-11. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on Riverside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 550th, while Grace Christian is ranked 211th). As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cary Academy at 8:00 p.m. Cary Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 262 points over their last four games.
