Big Ten recap December 3, 2013
Bridgeport extended the longest winning streak in Big Ten this week by beating Bluefield, 42-21. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Bridgeport led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Beavers. Anthony Caldera ran for 136 yards during the win.
Josh Nicewarner's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Caldera chipped in 136 yards.
Caldera provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Indians beat Bluefield.
Caldera was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Anthony Bonamico added to the ground attack by rushing for 112 yards.
Grafton's Cole Collins and Tyler Moore led Big Ten in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Collins has thrown for 1,113 yards this season, while Moore has 32 catches for 393 yards. Bonamico from Bridgeport leads the league in rushing with 2,079 yards.
The Indians made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,130 from 1,446. The improvement was the result of a 42-21 victory over Fred Simon's team last week.
