Everything went their way against the D'Hanis Cowboys as they made off with a 20-8 win. Anna (AK) Fortner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Leakey let Katie Salazar and Kourtney Rodriguez run wild.
