The Tahlequah Tigers are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Booker T. Washington Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Tahlequah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 11th).
Last Friday, Tahlequah ended up a good deal behind Bishop Kelley and lost 63-46.
Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points), and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 97-43 win over Pryor. Booker T. Washington has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 26 points or more this season.
Booker T. Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Greg Nash out in front who scored 15 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nash has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Barron Harris jr., who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Tahlequah's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Booker T. Washington, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Tahlequah was taken down by Booker T. Washington 91-54 when the teams last played last Thursday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Harris jr., who scored 22 points along with six rebounds.
