After flying high against the George Jenkins Eagles last Tuesday, the Seffner Christian Crusaders came back down to earth. Seffner Christian fell to Calvary Christian 78-74. Seffner Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calvary Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
It was another big night for Ace Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 46 points and 12 rebounds for Calvary Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sabec, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Seffner Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Calvary Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will take on Carrollwood Day at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Berkeley Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Berkeley Prep will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
