Mesa Vista extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Tana Lopez. The Mesa Vista Trojans strolled past the McCurdy Bobcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-46 thanks in part to Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten steals. Her evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Aaliyah Boies was another key player, putting up eight points and six steals. Boies is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Mesa Vista's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for McCurdy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesa Vista will square off against Questa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesa Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Questa likes a good challenge. As for McCurdy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
