With a playoff game on the line, the Upland Highlanders/Scots rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Eagles. Upland's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
They hit Brentwood School with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Drew Shoji (3),
Ryder Fierro, and
Nicholas Giron.
Upland has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-4 record this season. As for Brentwood School, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3-1.
Upland is on the road again on Friday and plays Mountain View on February 9th. Mountain View will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last. Brentwood School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
