After losing to Narragansett Regional the last time they met, Lunenburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. On Friday, Lunenburg won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Narragansett Regional 20-19. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
The victory bumped Lunenburg's record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Narragansett Regional back to even at 2-2.
Lunenburg will stay at home next week against West Boylston/Tahanto at 7:00 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Lunenburg skips in on four wins and West Boylston/Tahanto on five. As for Narragansett Regional, they will face off against Gardner. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
