South Tahoe was led to victory by Ava Wolfe and Campbell Mathews. Wolfe scored 18 points along with six steals and two blocks, while Mathews dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Mathews has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Avery Long was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Hug bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.6 points per game. As for South Tahoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Hug will head out on the road to take on Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparks comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for South Tahoe, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Wooster at 6:00 p.m.
