Clear Creek is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Knights a ten-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Clear Creek Wildcats will take on the Clear Falls Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Clear Creek came up short against the Gators and fell 54-45.
Meanwhile, Clear Falls took a serious blow against the Falcons on Friday, falling 75-31. While losing is never fun, Clear Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 678th, while the Falcons are ranked 210th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Keyne Yzquierdo, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Clear Creek has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-14 record this season. As for Clear Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 8-23.
Clear Creek was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights in their previous meeting back in January, winning 52-41. Does Clear Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
