The Wakeland Wolverines will head out to take on the Hebron Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wakeland 3.7, Hebron 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Hebron will be up against a hot Wakeland squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Wolverines came out on top against Turner by a score of 4-1 on Friday.
Max Vetkoetter tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chase Adams was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Mueller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Wakeland hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Turner struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, while Hebron put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Lewisville. The Hawks put the hurt on the Fighting Farmers with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Hebron also got a great performance from Bryce Pacheco as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landon Bonner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Cade Wrigley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Wakeland's record now sits at 15-8-2. As for Hebron, their record is now 18-6-2.
Wakeland skirted past Hebron 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
