Woodland Regional really took it to Kaynor Tech for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-46 victory at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-13.
Woodland Regional's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dean Accetura, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Accetura is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of James Scampolino, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Woodland Regional's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Kaynor Tech, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Woodland Regional will take on Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kaynor Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abbott RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
