When it comes to explaining why Stewarts Creek lost, one person who can't be blamed is Camden Ward. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Stewarts Creek struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Lebanon was led to victory by Ta'Kisa Hastings and Maggie Kelley. Hastings scored 15 points along with two steals, while Kelley scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Hastings is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ro Dowell, who scored three points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Stewarts Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Lebanon, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stewarts Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Smyrna at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Smyrna is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to take on LaVergne at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. LaVergne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Lebanon is ranked 26th).
