Williamsport and Mifflinburg are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Millionaires will head out to take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamsport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Williamsport came out on top against Shikellamy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Millionaires were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Braves. The victory continues a trend for the Millionaires in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Ryan Schur's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Williamsport got a big performance out of Camden March, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Wyatt Bair also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Williamsport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Mifflinburg waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted against the Panthers since April 30, 2016.
Landen Murray was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chad Martin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Williamsport's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Mifflinburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Mifflinburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Williamsport has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .508. It's a different story for Mifflinburg, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Williamsport's hitters?
Williamsport was able to grind out a solid victory over Mifflinburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Millionaires since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
