The Niceville Eagles will challenge the Mosley Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Niceville has six straight wins, Mosley has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Niceville beats Mosley with 11 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Niceville blew past Daphne 11-2 on Friday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

Reilly Six looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nicholas Gates, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in home runs. Another player making a difference was Deacon Avery, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Mosley fell victim to Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dolphins have suffered since February 15th.
Mosley also got a good showing from Chase Wood, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Wood didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.
Niceville pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mosley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Mosley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Niceville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. It's a different story for Mosley, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Niceville's hitters?
Niceville was able to grind out a solid win over Mosley in their previous matchup last Thursday, winning 7-4. Will Niceville repeat their success, or does Mosley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
