They blew past McDowell, posting a 58-14 victory at home. The result was nothing new for A.C. Reynolds, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
A.C. Reynolds' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wesley Rumbough, who picked up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Craig, who threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Although McDowell took the loss, they still got scores from Hayden Williams and Jackson Marsh.
A.C. Reynolds' win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.67 points. As for McDowell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
A.C. Reynolds will be playing in front of their home fans against North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Gaston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while A.C. Reynolds is ranked 48th). McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
