The Woodsboro Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 65-44 loss to Skidmore-Tynan might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodsboro in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Skidmore-Tynan was led to victory by Bennett Martinez and Cole Rivers. Martinez scored 21 points along with seven rebounds, while Rivers dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Rivers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Aidan Roach, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Woodsboro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season. As for Skidmore-Tynan, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Port Aransas the next time they take the court. Skidmore-Tynan will head out to face Port Aransas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Woodsboro will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
