Benbrook has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Ferris Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ferris took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Benbrook, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Benbrook was able to grind out a solid win over Venus, taking the game 14-6.
Meanwhile, Ferris' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 28-21 to Hillsboro.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bryan Ramirez, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Ferris' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Omari Tyner and his three sacks.
Benbrook's win on Friday bumped their record up to 5-2. Ferris has been struggling this season, as they've lost six of their first seven contests, which leaves them at a 1-6 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday' match: Benbrook has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 156.4 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Ferris, though, as they've been averaging only 78.7 per game. How will Ferris fare against such a dominant running game?
Benbrook was dealt a bruising 63-7 defeat at the hands of Ferris in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Benbrook, Nathan Greek (who threw for 397 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
