The Neosho Wildcats lost against the Nixa Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Neosho was dealt a 80-49 defeat at the hands of the Eagles.
Neosho's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Southern, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Collier Hendricks, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Neosho struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Neosho has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Nixa, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Neosho will stay at home for another game and welcome the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Branson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Nixa's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
