Basketball Recap: Goldwater Drops Season-High Score on Coronado

Goldwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-40 to the Coronado Dons. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Kailyn Holsey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Coronado, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Holsey a new career-high in boards. Haily Hereau was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Goldwater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Coronado, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Goldwater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-35 loss against Desert Sunrise on the 17th. As for Coronado, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Willow Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on December 26th.
