In what's become a running theme this season, the West Wendover Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 44-15 win over Silver Stage. The victory was nothing new for West Wendover as they're now sitting on three straight.
West Wendover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nataly Gonzalez, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Gonzalez pulled down eight or more rebounds. Savannah Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
West Wendover's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for Silver Stage, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
West Wendover will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. North Tahoe will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something West Wendover surely won't give up without a fight. As for Silver Stage, they will head out on the road to challenge Pershing County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Stage comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
