The Southeastern Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Midfield 72-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeastern has scored all season.
Midfield found their leader in underclassman Aaron Adams-Martin, who scored 15 points. Adams-Martin has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Armonie Franklin, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Southeastern has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Midfield, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeastern will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West End at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midfield, they will be playing at home against Childersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
