Grayson was handed a 10-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Newton 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest Grayson has put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Grayson has now won 11 of their last 12 games on the road. That run has powered them to a 5-2 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-5 Heritage and 3-11 Newton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 10.1% over those games). As for Newton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayson will challenge Greater Atlanta Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newton, they will take on Rockdale County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
