The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foundation Academy in their matchups with Mount Dora Christian Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Foundation Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Michels, who scored 13 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Emma Parker, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Foundation Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foundation Academy will take on City of Life Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. City of Life Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Foundation Academy likes a good challenge. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Winter Park at 6:00 p.m. Winter Park is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
