Conway hasn't had much luck against St. James recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will take on the Sharks at 6:00 p.m. Conway will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Conway is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They skirted past Westwood 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 11th.

Olivia Drew was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brandy Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Black, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Conway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, St. James has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.09 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. Everything went their way against Socastee as they made off with a 16-10 win. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
St. James has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Conway, they pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Conway suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to St. James in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
