Softball Recap: Sonoraville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Sonoraville came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Heritage Generals.

Sonoraville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Angel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 while posting 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Angel has also been consistently good when it comes to times on base: she's racked up 1+ every time she's taken the field this season.

Sonoraville kept the fielders on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the best they've done in that category since at least August 5, 2025.

On Heritage's side, they got a good showing from Serenity Ellard, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off 2 hits.

Sonoraville has now won 16 of their last 19 games on the road. That gives them a 16-4 record this season. The road wins were made possible by their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those 19 games. As for Heritage, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonoraville will welcome North Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will host Calhoun at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Yellow Jackets have played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
