Seymour had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lakeway Christian Academy on Thursday. Everything went the Seymour Eagles' way against the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions as the Seymour Eagles made off with a 13-6 win. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Seymour got a great performance from Keeton McGill as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. McGill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Seymour let Coby Johnson and Drew Childress run wild. Johnson scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Childress scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Johnson posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Dylan Bridges also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Seymour always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeway Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .389.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 9-1 record.

Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Watertown on the 14th. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 10-7 victory against Unicoi County on the 14th.
