It's playoff time, and Simeon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past Ogden International 9-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Wolverines have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Christian Lott tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Simeon is undefeated when Lott allows two or fewer earned runs, but 8-10-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Ben Johnson and Antwan Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Jackson went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double. That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavion Danley, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Simeon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win was the fourth in a row for Simeon, bringing their record up to 15-10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ogden International, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simeon will take on Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Ogden International, they will square off against Disney II at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
