Chisholm Trail Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They breezed by Hill at home to the tune of 75-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chisholm Trail Academy.
Tony Planells continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ivan Ogaz, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy entered their tilt with Westlake Academy with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Victory Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Westlake Academy 48-46.
Chisholm Trail Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
Chisholm Trail Academy couldn't quite finish off Victory Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January and fell 68-65. Can Chisholm Trail Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
