Section 6 DD recap October 22, 2013
Cattaraugus-Little Valley added to the longest winning streak in Section 6 DD this week by beating Frewsburg, 21-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Timberwolves.
Clymer Central fell to Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Wiggers was a bright spot for the Pirates, as he ran for 15 yards in the defeat.
Panama's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bryce Payne threw for 45 yards and Ricky Eddy had 31 yards receiving. On the ground Kyle Saxton chipped in 40 yards.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Payne and Eddy proved to be unstoppable against Sherman, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
The Bears' Brady Collver and Bryce Peterson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Collver has thrown for 629 yards this season, while Peterson has 12 catches for 245 yards. Panama's Saxton leads the league in rushing yards with 676.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Frewsburg takes on the Wildcats. Terry Gray's team's offense has scored 148 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Sherman has allowed only 56 on the year.
An important game coming up in Section 6 DD this week will be when Chris Payne's team takes on Cattaraugus-Little Valley. At the moment, the Panthers are in third, while Tim Miller's team is in second.
