Bell hasn't had much luck against Trenton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bell will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Branford, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Buccaneers 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Chance Mandarino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brandon Aguilar was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Jordan Spears also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Trenton came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Cowboys 8-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Mason VunCannon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. VunCannon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Jordan Marlo was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Brant Bivens was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Trenton pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bell, their record is now 11-7.
Bell came up short against Trenton when the teams last played back in March, falling 7-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
