The Kennedy Commanders will square off against the Lincoln Lancers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kennedy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Kennedy took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Manual, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Commanders skirted past the Thunderbolts 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Commanders have posted since April 15, 2025.

Kennedy let Xavier Benavidez and Kalani Market run wild. Benavidez went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Market went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four stolen bases gave Benavidez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ki'Marri Dotson, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last nine games, Lincoln finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against Bear Creek, falling 15-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Kennedy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kennedy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kennedy might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Lincoln in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Commanders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
