Honeoye Falls-Lima has gone 7-2 against Wayne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Honeoye Falls-Lima is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Wayland-Cohocton with a sharp 17-3 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Jacob Weber was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Honeoye Falls-Lima got a massive performance out of Owen Kearney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Kearney has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Harrison Houle, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Honeoye Falls-Lima always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wayne never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against Newark as they made off with an 8-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Parker Holtz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Caleb Celso and Michael Grasso did most of the damage at the plate: Celso went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Grasso went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Wayne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Honeoye Falls-Lima has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
