After a dominant victory in their matchup last week, Lexington were humbled on Friday. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 13-18 to Purcell. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lexington of the 7-35 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head. The match brought Purcell to 2-1 and dropped Lexington to a mirror-image 1-2.
Next week Lexington take on Little Axe at 7:00 PM. As for Purcell, they will face off against Plainview.
