After both having extra time off, the Edmond North Huskies and the Okemah Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Edmond North will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Edmond North has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Piedmont 74-24 on the road. Given Edmond North's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Piedmont is ranked 244th), the result last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Okemah sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over Wewoka last Friday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Okemah has scored all year.
Edmond North pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.54 points. As for Okemah, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
