Softball Recap: Silsbee Wins Going Away Against Bridge City

Silsbee barely beat Bridge City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Cardinals on Thursday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Silsbee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Bridge City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13-1.

Coming up, Silsbee will be playing at home against Deweyville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Bridge City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
