In other batting news, Leigha Kennon Gilbert was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Kaelynn Williams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Minden hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doyline struck out 15 times.
Minden's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games.
