  Mahala Darnell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Darnell was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
 In other batting news,  McKinley McKinley Hyde was a standout: she went 1-for-1 with three  stolen bases, a  triple,  and two  RBI.  Summer Fire was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 North Stanly's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-1. As for West Davidson, their record is now 3-4.
 North Stanly skirted past West Davidson  4-2 in their previous matchup  on March 5th. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was  West Davidson's  Hannah Rollins, who   pitched six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Now that she's  got a second chance to win this matchup, will North Stanly still be able to contain  Rollins? There's only one way to find out.
