On Friday Van Meter take on Mt. Ayr at 7:00 PM. Mt. Ayr will need to watch out since Van Meter have now posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Van Meter were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Panorama 36-6. Followers of Van Meter probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Mt. Ayr might be getting used to good results now that the team have five wins in a row. They made easy work of Clarinda last Friday and carried off a 28-6 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Mt. Ayr had established a 28-0 advantage.
Their wins bumped Mt. Ayr to 6-1 and Van Meter to 7-0. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
