The Shoals Christian Flame had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They breezed by Winfield at home to the tune of 58-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Shoals Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Sarah Davis (2025) was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Shoals Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Owens, who scored 7 points along with 5 steals.
Shoals Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Winfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Shoals Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Winfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Sulligent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
